My Dad was always telling stories.
Eventually a friend and business partner Lawrence (Laury) Ostrow, helped Seymour to take all these stores and get them written down. This is Seymour's life as told by him in his own words.
Humor, wisdom and street-smart savvy described his journey.
He was born in Brooklyn, and was a first generation American who was from Ukrainian* Jewish parents, Morris and Bertha Yarmelovski. Seymour's stories in this book take us from 1929 to 2008, from Brooklyn, with a few stops around the world, to finally residing in San Francisco, California.
(*According to our family memory, we are connected to Podolia, a region mostly in Ukraine, though at the time they were living there and when they left it, that area of Ukraine was part of Czarist Russia.
We are fairly certain that Seymour's parents came from a city in the Ukraine called Chernivtsi.)
